RETRACTABLE HARDTOP SWITCH

Purpose
• The driver can optionally open/close the roof using the retractable hardtop switch.
Functions
• The retractable hardtop switch sends a switch operation signal to the retractable hardtop control module.
Construction
• The retractable hardtop switch is built into the the indicator unit.
• A toggle-type switch has been adopted for the retractable hardtop switch.
• The switch (SW1, SW2) being pressed is determined by combining the resistances of different resistance values for the retractable hardtop switch.
Operation
Auto open operation

1. When the open-side of the retractable hardtop switch is pressed, contact point SW1 of the retractable hardtop switch closes (1).
2. The retractable hardtop control module detects (2) a retractable hardtop open request signal (voltage) based on the closing of contact point SW1 of the retractable hardtop switch.
Auto close operation

1. When the close-side of the retractable hardtop switch is pressed, contact point SW2 of the retractable hardtop switch closes (1).
2. The retractable hardtop control module detects (2) a retractable hardtop close request signal (voltage) based on the closing of contact point SW2 of the retractable hardtop switch.
