HEADREST SPEAKER INSPECTION

Standard Type Seat

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the seat. (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the seat back trim. (See SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the headrest speaker connector. (See HEADREST SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Inspect the resistance between headrest speaker terminals A and B.

Headrest speaker resistance
Without Bose®: 3.4—4.6 ohms
With Bose®: approx. 4.0 ohms

•  If not within the specification, replace the headrest speaker. (See HEADREST SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)


Sports Type (RECARO) Seat

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the seat. (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the seat back trim component. (See SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the headrest speaker connector. (See HEADREST SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Inspect the resistance between headrest speaker terminals A and B.

Headrest speaker resistance
Without Bose®: 3.4—4.6 ohms
With Bose®: approx. 4.0 ohms
