ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE

Purpose
• The engine coolant temperature gauge notifies the driver of the engine coolant temperature.
Functions
• The instrument cluster displays the engine coolant temperature based on the engine coolant temperature signal sent from the PCM via CAN communication.
Normal range indication/high temperature range indication switching function (with multi-information display)
• The normal range indication and the high temperature range indication for the engine coolant temperature gauge can be switched with each press of the panel light control switch.
• The normal range indication is displayed after the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on) regardless of the previous indication when the ignition was switched off.
Construction
• The engine coolant temperature gauge is displayed on the LCD (without multi-information display)/multi-information display (with multi-information display) in the instrument cluster.
• The engine coolant temperature gauge consists of 17 digital needles. (without multi-information display)
• The normal range indication consists of 61 digital needles and the high temperature range indication consists of 63 digital needles. (with multi-information display)
Operation
1. When the instrument cluster receives (1) an engine coolant temperature signal via CAN communication from the PCM while the ignition is switched ON (engine off or on), it displays/does not display (2) the engine coolant temperature gauge digital needle in the LCD (without multi-information display)/multi-information display (with multi-information display).
