Purpose

• Informs the driver of the adjustable speed limiter control status.

Function

• The adjustable speed limiter main indicator light (amber) illuminates when the speed limiter switch is pressed and the adjustable speed limiter is activated.

• The adjustable speed limiter set indicator light (green) illuminates when a speed has been set.

Construction

• The adjustable speed limiter main indicator light (amber)/ adjustable speed limiter set indicator light (green) is built into the instrument cluster.

Operation

1. The instrument cluster receives (1) the adjustable speed limiter main indicator light (amber)/adjustable speed limiter set indicator light (green) illumination request signal from the PCM.

2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the adjustable speed limiter main indicator light (amber)/adjustable speed limiter set indicator light (green) illumination request signal.

3. When the transistor turns on, the ground circuit with the adjustable speed limiter main indicator light (amber)/adjustable speed limiter set indicator light (green) is established and the adjustable speed limiter main indicator light (amber)/adjustable speed limiter set indicator light (green) turns on (3).
