•  Throttle opening signal error
―  Vehicle condition: TCM communication normal
―  Status: Detects throttle opening angle signal error
―  Period: Confirmed 1 time in 0.5 s or more
•  Accelerator opening angle signal error
―  Vehicle condition: TCM communication normal
―  Status: Detects accelerator opening angle signal error
―  Period: Confirmed 1 time in 0.5 s or more
•  Engine torque signal error
―  Vehicle condition: TCM communication normal
―  Status: Detects engine torque signal error
―  Period: Confirmed 1 time in 0.5 s or more
•  Engine speed signal error
―  Vehicle condition: TCM communication normal
―  Status: Detects engine speed signal error
―  Period: Confirmed 1 time in 0.5 s or more
•  Engine coolant temperature signal error
―  Vehicle condition: TCM communication normal
―  Status: Detects engine coolant signal error
―  Period: Confirmed 1 time in 0.5 s or more
•  Detects engine misfire
―  Vehicle condition: TCM communication normal
―  Status: Detects engine misfire determination signal
―  Period: Confirmed 1 time
FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related Service Information availability.
•  Is any related Service Information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY PCM DTC
•  Perform the PCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Go to the next step.
3
VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Clear the DTC using the M-MDS.
•  Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
1.  Start the engine and warm it up completely.
2.  Drive the vehicle for a while under the following conditions:
•  Selector lever position: D position
•  Perform the DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
