Purpose/Function
• The shift position indication indicates the selector lever position.
Construction
• The shift position indication is built into the instrument cluster.
Operation
• P, R, N or D range

― The TCM detects the selector lever position based on an analog signal from the TR switch.
― The TCM sends a shift position indication illumination request signal to the instrument cluster via CAN.
• M range
-
― The instrument cluster detects the selector lever position based on a signal from the M position switch inside the selector lever component.
