• Three-point seat belts with the following functions for passengers have been adopted.

Function
• The seat belts are belt type safety devices which restrain the occupants in their seats.
• The seat belt prevents the driver and the passenger from being thrown from the seat and injured due to an emergency vehicle stop or impact by being hit.
• The specifications for each seat belt are as indicated in the table.

Construction, Operation
• For the three-point seat belt, the seat belt is secured to the drum in the retractor and wrapped.
• The seat belt is pulled out or retrieved by the rotation of the drum to adjust the length of the seat belt.
Load limiter

• When a certain amount of force is applied to the seat belt by an occupant moving forward by inertia force after the pre-tensioner seat belt operates, the locking base in the retractor is unlocked, the seat belt pulls out to mediate the pressure of the seat belt against the occupant.
ELR (Emergency Locking Retractor)

• If a sudden force is applied to a seat belt by an occupant moving forward by inertia force due to a vehicle collision or sudden braking, the locking base in the retractor is locked to prevent (lock) the seat belt from being pulled out.
