Purpose of Adoption
• The trunk lid opener switch is located on the lower part of the bumper to achieve an external appearance without a keyhole and switch.
Service Point
• If the trunk lid cannot be opened due to the transmitter being left in the trunk, a discharged battery or malfunctions in the electrical system, open the trunk lid using the following procedures.
Procedure
1. Close the convertible top.
2. Remove the wind blocker.
3. Remove the side shelf (RH) fastener.
4. Partially open the side shelf (RH).
5. Loosen the screws until they rotate freely.
6. Pull the cap with screws to open the trunk lid.

Advanced Keyless Entry System

• Remote transmitter left-in-vehicle prevention function: If the trunk lid is closed with a remote transmitter left in the vehicle, the trunk lid can be opened by pressing the trunk lid opener switch.
Keyless Entry System

• On vehicles with the keyless entry system, the keyless antenna can only be found in the vehicle. The trunk closes whether the transmitter is in the trunk or not, and the trunk cannot be opened with the trunk lid opener switch.
