1. Measure the clearance and height difference between the door and the vehicle body.

Standard clearance

a: 2.8—4.8 mm {0.12—0.18 in}

b: –1.5—0.5 mm {–0.05—0.01 in}

c: 3.0—4.8 mm {0.12—0.18 in}

d: –1.7—0.3 mm {–0.06—0.01 in}

e: 2.8—4.8 mm {0.12—0.18 in}

f: –1.7—0.3 mm {–0.06—0.01 in}

g: 2.7—4.7 mm {0.11—0.18 in}

h: –0.9—1.1 mm {–0.03—0.04 in}

i: 2.8—4.8 mm {0.12—0.18 in}

j: –1.0—1.0 mm {–0.039—0.039 in}

k: 2.8—4.8 mm {0.12—0.18 in}

l: –1.0—1.0 mm {–0.039—0.039 in}

• If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, adjust the clearance using the following procedure.

1. Loosen the door hinge installation bolts, move the door, and adjust the installation position. (See DOOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2. Tighten the door hinge installation bolts. (See DOOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Verify that the clearances and height difference between the door and the vehicle body is within the standard clearance.

4. If the door does not open/close smoothly, adjust it by loosening the door lock striker installation screw. (See DOOR LOCK STRIKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2. Verify that the door opens/closes smoothly.
