TRUNK LID OPENER CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Using the retractable fastback switch, keep the rear roof open.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Trunk side trim (RH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Partition board (See PARTITION BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Wind blocker (See WIND BLOCKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the fasteners in the positions shown in the figure.(convertible top)

4.  Partially peel back the side shelf (RH) to the position allowing removal of the trunk lid opener lever.(convertible top) (See SIDE SHELF REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the side shelf (RH).(retractable fastback) (See SIDE SHELF REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  While pressing the tabs in the directions of arrows (1) shown in the figure, press it out in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the trunk lid opener lever tabs from the body.

7.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clip A.

8.  Remove the clip B.

9.  Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable from the trunk lid latch and release actuator.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
