LANE DEPARTURE WARNING SOUND

Purpose

• The lane departure warning sound warns the driver that the vehicle may depart from its lane.

Functions

• If the instrument cluster receives a warning sound request signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC), it activates the lane departure warning sound using the buzzer in the instrument cluster.

• The lane departure warning sound is activated in the pattern shown in the figure.

Construction

• The lane departure warning sound is activated using the buzzer built into the instrument cluster.

Operation

1. The instrument cluster receives (1) a warning sound request signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.

2. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (2) based on the warning sound request signal.

3. When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the lane departure warning sound is established and the lane departure warning sound is activated (3).
