FRONT SUSPENSION TOWER BAR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  For 6MT vehicles, perform the following procedures.

(1)  Disconnect the purge solenoid valve connector wiring harness from the bracket.

(2)  Remove the bracket from the air intake hose and move the purge solenoid valve component out of the way. (See PURGE SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)

(3)  Remove the following parts as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)

―  Air intake hose

―  Resonance chamber No. 2

―  Resonance duct No. 1

―  Resonance duct No. 2

2.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

3.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

1	Front suspension tower bar joint (vehicle with 17-inch wheel)
2	Front suspension tower bar (RH) (vehicle with 17-inch wheel)
3	Front suspension tower bar (LH) (vehicle with 17-inch wheel)
4	Plate (See Plate Installation Note.)

Plate Installation Note

1.  Install the plates with the identification marks facing upward.
