DETECTION CONDITION
|
• Continuous ON signal from the DSC OFF switch for 5 s or more is detected.
|

POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Short to ground in the wiring harness between the DSC HU/CM terminal P and the DSC OFF switch terminal A (L.H.D.) or C (R.H.D.)
• DSC OFF switch malfunction
• The driver pressed and held the DSC OFF switch for 5 s or more.

INSPECT DSC HU/CM TO DSC OFF SWITCH FOR SHORT TO GROUND
• Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
• Disconnect DSC HU/CM and DSC OFF switch connector.
• Inspect for continuity between the DSC HU/CM terminal P and ground.
• Is there continuity?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the wiring harness for short to ground between DSC HU/CM terminal P and DSC OFF switch terminal A (L.H.D.) or C (R.H.D.), then go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT DSC OFF SWITCH
• Inspect the DSC OFF switch.
(See DSC OFF SWITCH INSPECTION.)
• Is the DSC OFF switch normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the DSC OFF switch, then go to the next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the memory.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Are any other DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
|
No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
