TRANSMISSION OIL INSPECTION [P66M-D]

1.  Position the vehicle on level ground.

2.  Remove the Insulator. (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [P66M-D].)

3.  Remove oil filler plug.

4.  Verify that the oil is near the brim of the plug port.

•  If the oil is not near the brim of the plug port, add the specified amount and type of oil.
Transmission case specified oil grade
API service GL-4 or GL-5
Transmission case specified oil viscosity
SAE 75W-90

5.  Install oil filler plug and a new washer.

Tightening torque
40—59 N·m {4.1—6.0 kgf·m, 30—43 ft·lbf}

6.  Install the Insulator. (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [P66M-D].)
