•  If the vehicle has a collision and a certain level of impact is applied to the front of the vehicle, the active bonnet control module operates the active bonnet actuators.

•  The active bonnet control module has an on-board diagnostic function to facilitate system diagnosis. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM OUTLINE [ACTIVE BONNET].)

•  Even if a disruption occurs in the power supply to the active bonnet control module by a collision, the sensor in the active bonnet control module discharges electrical current for a specified time as a back up power supply function to deploy the active bonnet normally.
