Note

•  Depending on the period of manufacture, the trunk lid opener relay and rear fog relay positions may be switched. When performing removal/installation and inspection, make determinations based on wiring color.

―  Terminal A: violet

―  Terminal C: blue/red

―  Terminal D: blue

―  Terminal E: blue/red (without power retractable hardtop), white/red (with power retractable hardtop)

1.  Remove the battery cover.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF].)

3.  Remove the trunk end trim. (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the trunk lid opener relay.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
