With Variable Intake Air System

Operation inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the variable intake air shutter valve actuator. (See VARIABLE INTAKE AIR SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].)

3.  Connect the battery positive voltage to terminal A or B, and verify that the gear moves.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the variable intake air shutter valve actuator. (See VARIABLE INTAKE AIR SHUTTER VALVE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY].)
