Note

•  When replacing the battery, if the new battery terminal size (diameter) of the battery differs from the battery cable terminal diameter, replace the battery cable terminal and the terminal installation nuts.

1.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

2.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Battery Box Installation Note

1.  Install the battery box so that the side with the larger notch points toward the front fender (LH).

Battery Cable Installation Note

1.  When replacing the battery, if the new battery terminal size (diameter) of the battery differs from the battery cable terminal diameter, replace the battery cable terminal and the terminal installation nuts using the following procedure.

(1)  Disconnect the connector from the current sensor installed to the negative battery cable terminal.

(2)  Remove the battery cable terminal installation nuts.

(3)  Replace the battery cable terminals with ones that match the battery terminal size.

(4)  Replace the battery cable terminal installation nuts.

(5)  Install in the reverse order of removal.
