• The fuel temperature sensor is located in the collector pipe for fuel return, above the high pressure pump.
• The fuel temperature sensor is a resistor with a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) resistor.
• Using the voltage drop across the fuel temperature sensor, the PCM calculates the fuel temperature, which is needed for fine tuning the injection quantity.
