Detection Condition

• Communication error between keyless control module and keyless receiver

Possible Causes

• Keyless receiver connector or terminals malfunction

• Keyless control module connector or terminals malfunction

• Short circuit in wiring harness between keyless receiver and keyless control module

• Keyless receiver malfunction

• Keyless control module malfunction

INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER CONNECTOR

•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.

•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

•  Disconnect the keyless receiver connector.

•  Inspect the keyless receiver connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)

•  Are the connector and terminals normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair/replace the keyless receiver connector or terminal, then go to Step 5.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR

•  Disconnect the keyless control module connector.

•  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)

•  Are the connector and terminals normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal, then go to Step 5.

INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER SIGNAL CIRCUIT

•  Inspect the wiring harnesses between keyless receiver terminal C and keyless control module terminal 2H for the following:

―  Short to ground

―  Short to power supply

•  Is the wiring harness normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Repair or replace the wiring harness between keyless receiver and keyless control module, then go to Step 5.

INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER

•  Reconnect all disconnected connectors.

•  Reconnect the negative battery cable.

•  Inspect the keyless receiver.

•  Is the keyless receiver normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

Replace the keyless receiver, then go to the next step.

VERIFY DTCs

•  Reconnect all disconnected connectors.

•  Reconnect the negative battery cable.

•  Clear the DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

•  Verify the DTCs using the M-MDS.
(See DTC INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

•  Is the DTC U201F:00 displayed?

Yes

Replace the keyless control module.

(See KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.

3	INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER SIGNAL CIRCUIT • Inspect the wiring harnesses between keyless receiver terminal C and keyless control module terminal 2H for the following: ― Short to ground ― Short to power supply • Is the wiring harness normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Repair or replace the wiring harness between keyless receiver and keyless control module, then go to Step 5.
4	INSPECT KEYLESS RECEIVER • Reconnect all disconnected connectors. • Reconnect the negative battery cable. • Inspect the keyless receiver. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) • Is the keyless receiver normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Replace the keyless receiver, then go to the next step. (See KEYLESS RECEIVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)
5	VERIFY DTCs • Reconnect all disconnected connectors. • Reconnect the negative battery cable. • Clear the DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) • Verify the DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].) • Is the DTC U201F:00 displayed?	Yes	Replace the keyless control module. (See KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ADVANCED KEYLESS AND START SYSTEM].)
5		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
