•  Perform the BCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is the DTC B1176:13 displayed?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
2
VERIFY FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR (PASSENGER'S SIDE) CONNECTOR CONDITION
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the front door latch and lock actuator (passenger's side) connector.
•  Inspect the connection condition and wiring harness.
•  Are the connector terminals normal without damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the connector, then go to the final step.
3
VERIFY FRONT DOOR LATCH SWITCH (PASSENGER'S SIDE) GROUND CIRCUIT CONDITION
•  Front door latch and lock actuator (passenger's side) connector is disconnected.
•  Inspect for continuity between front door latch and lock actuator (passenger's side) terminal J (wiring harness-side) and body ground.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the related wiring harness, then go to the final step.
4
VERIFY FRONT DOOR LATCH SWITCH (PASSENGER'S SIDE) CONDITION
•  Inspect the front door latch switch (passenger's side).
•  Is the front door latch switch (passenger's side) normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
