Installation Procedure

1.  When installing new parts, measure and adjust the body as necessary to conform with standard dimensions.

2.  Drill holes for the plug welding before installing the new parts.

3.  After temporarily installing new parts, make sure the related parts fit properly.

4.  Plug weld the 72 locations indicated shown in the figure.

4.  Plug weld the 64 locations indicated shown in the figure.

Drill Hole for Roof Carrier Bracket

1.  Temporarily install the roof panel to the vehicle body.

2.  Punch a hole through the roof carrier bracket through-hole center of the roof rail reinforcement (position indicated by the arrow in the figure) and remove the roof panel.

3.  Drill a 6 mm {0.2 in} diameter hole in the punched position, then drill another 6 mm {0.2 in} diameter hole in the position 62 mm {2.4 in} away from the first hole toward the vehicle rear.

4.  If the bolt interferes with the hole when installing the roof carrier bracket, adjust the hole on the rear side using a round file.
