Purpose, Function
• Engine oil is filtered by passing engine oil through the oil filter element.
Construction
• The oil filter is located on the left side surface of the cylinder block.
• A spin-on type (full-flow type) oil filter has been adopted.
• A full-flow type oil filter has been adopted.
• If the oil filter element becomes clogged, the oil filter has a by-pass valve designed as a detour.
