REAR SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat back removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Removal

1.  Remove the rear seat cushion.(See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

2.  Remove the rear center seat belt anchor.(See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Head restraint

(2)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

(3)  Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

4.  Remove the C-rings in the order shown in the figure and remove the rear seat back trim from the rear seat back pad.

Caution

•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Note

•  The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.

5.  Remove the rear seat trim.

Installation

1.  Align the rear seat back trim with the installation hole of the rear seat back pad and install the C-rings in the order shown in the figure.

Caution

•  If a C-ring is damaged while removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, it may not be possible to install the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad normally. When removing or installing the rear seat back trim and rear seat back pad, be careful not to damage the C-rings.

•  If a C-ring is damaged, replace it with a new one.

Note

•  The position and number of C-rings differ depending on the type of seat.

•  Wrinkling can be easily prevented by installing the C-rings with a certain amount of tightening.

2.  Press the rear seat back pad inward while pulling the rear seat back trim outward.

3.  Align the rear seat back trim with the shape of the rear seat back pad while pressing the rear seat back pad outward.

4.  Install the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat back frame (See REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

(2)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

(3)  Head restraint

5.  Install the rear center seat belt anchor.(See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)

6.  Install the rear seat cushion.(See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION)
