REAR SIDE SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Removal

1.  Press in the latch lever of the liftgate latch and lock actuator using a flathead screwdriver, and set it to the latched condition.

2.  Install the string to the liftgate striker and the latch lever, and secure the liftgate with it half opened.

3.  Remove the double-sided adhesive tape using a remover tool.

4.  Move the remover tool in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and detach the clips of the rear side spoiler from the liftgate.

5.  Remove the rear side spoiler.

Installation

Reusing rear side spoiler

1.  Remove the double-sided adhesive tape on the rear side spoiler.

2.  Remove any grease or dirt from the adhesion surface of the rear side spoiler.

3.  Affix the double-sided adhesive tape to the position shown in the figure.

4.  Remove any grease or dirt from the adhesion surface of the liftgate.

5.  Peel off the backing of the double-sided adhesive tape.

6.  Install the clips of the rear side spoiler to the liftgate.

7.  Press the rear side spoiler to adhere the double-sided adhesive tape.

Not reusing rear side spoiler

1.  Remove any grease or dirt from the adhesion surface of the liftgate.

2.  Peel off the backing of the double-sided adhesive tape.

3.  Install the clips of the rear side spoiler to the liftgate.

4.  Press the rear side spoiler to adhere the double-sided adhesive tape.
