PANEL LIGHT CONTROL INDICATOR ALARM

id092200020700

Purpose

•  The panel light control indicator alarm notifies the driver that the panel light brightness is either at maximum or minimum.

Function

•  While the instrument cluster is receiving a TNS (parking lights) illumination signal via CAN communication from the BCM, if the panel light control switch is fully rotated to the left or right, the panel light control indicator alarm sounds.
•  The panel light control indicator alarm sounds in the pattern shown in the figure.

Construction

•  The panel light control indicator alarm sounds using the buzzer built into the instrument cluster.

Operation

1.  The instrument cluster receives (1) a TNS (parking lights) illumination signal via CAN communication from the BCM.

2.  While the instrument cluster is receiving a TNS (parking lights) illumination signal, if the instrument cluster detects (2) that the panel light control switch is in the left or right maximum rotation position, it turns on (3) the transistor.

3.  When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the panel light control indicator alarm is established and the panel light control indicator alarm sounds (4).
