• When the engine coolant temperature is below 80°C {176°F}, the thermostat stops the circulation of radiator coolant from the radiator for improved engine warming performance. When the engine coolant temperature is between 80 °C {176°F} to 84 °C {183°F}, the thermostat begins to open the valve and engine coolant flows from the radiator to stabilize engine coolant temperature.
