DETECTION CONDITION
•  Abnormal input is detected.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Open or short to ground circuit in harness between ABS HU/CM terminal and ABS wheel-speed sensor(s) terminal below
―  ABS HU/CM terminal Q—RF ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal B
―  ABS HU/CM terminal O—RF ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal A
―  ABS HU/CM terminal I—LF ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal B
―  ABS HU/CM terminal K—LF ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal A
―  ABS HU/CM terminal E—RR ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal A
―  ABS HU/CM terminal C—RR ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal C
―  ABS HU/CM terminal U—LR ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal B
―  ABS HU/CM terminal W—LR ABS wheel-speed sensor terminal D
•  ABS wheel-speed sensor(s) malfunction

INSPECT ABS WHEEL‐SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
•  Turn ignition key to OFF.
•  Inspect continuity between suspected sensor terminal(s) of ABS HU/CM connector (harness side) and ground(s).
―  RF ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): Q
―  RF ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): O
―  LF ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): I
―  LF ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): K
―  RR ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): E
―  RR ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): C
―  LR ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): U
―  LR ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): W
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Repair or replace harness for short to ground circuit between ABS HU/CM and ABS wheel-speed sensor(s), then go to Step 3.
No
Go to next step.

INSPECT ABS HU/CM TO ABS WHEEL‐SPEED SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
•  Inspect continuity between suspected sensor terminal(s) of ABS HU/CM connector (harness side) and ABS wheel-speed sensor connector. (vehicle harness side)
―  RF ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): Q—B
―  RF ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): O—A
―  LF ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): I—B
―  LF ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): K—A
―  RR ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): E—A
―  RR ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): C—C
―  LR ABS wheel-speed sensor (+): U—B
―  LR ABS wheel-speed sensor (–): W—D
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Repair or replace poor connections of ABS HU/CM connector and/or ABS wheel-speed sensor connector(s), then go to next step.
No
Repair or replace harness for open circuits between ABS HU/CM and ABS wheel-speed sensor(s), then go to next step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Clear DTC from memory.
•  Is same DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
If the malfunction recurs, replace the ABS CM, then go to next step.
No
Go to next step.
4
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
•  Is there any other DTC present?
Yes
Go to applicable DTC inspection.
No
Troubleshooting completed.
