NO.31 DOES NOT SHIFT UP IN M RANGE (SPORT AT) [FN4A-EL]


31	Does no shift down in M range (Sport AT)
DESCRIPTION	• Gear position indicator light in dashboard illuminates, but vehicle does not upshift when selector lever is pushed to "+" side.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• Up switch or related harness malfunction. Note • Before following troubleshooting steps, make sure that Automatic Transaxle On-board Diagnostic and Automatic Transaxle Basic Inspection are conducted.


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Inspect the UP SW PID value using the WDS or equivalent. (See PCM INSPECTION [ZY].) Is the UP SW PID value normal?	Yes	Inspect the instrument cluster.
1		No	Inspect the up switch. If the up switch is normal, inspect for continuity between the up switch and PCM terminal 1M.
2	• Verify the test results. - If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. - If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service information and perform repair or diagnosis. • If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed. • If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
