Construction

• The EPS motor is a direct current motor with a permanent magnet fixed to the inner surface of the motor housing.

• The main structural parts consist of the armature coil, and the brush and magnet where energization occurs.

Operation

• Current from the EPS CM is sent to the armature coil through the commutator contacting the brush to rotate the motor shaft integrated with the armature coil.
