HEADLIGHT AUTO LEVELING SYSTEM OPERATION

id091800104200

OPERATION WHILE PASSENGERS ARE IN REAR SEAT OR UNDER LOADED CONDITION

1. A vehicle height position signal is sent from the auto leveling sensor installed on the vehicle rear to the auto leveling control module according to the jounce and rebound of the suspension.

2. If the auto leveling control module detects the signal from the auto leveling sensor, it identifies the vehicle attitude and calculates the optical axis adjustment amount. When the headlights are on, the auto leveling control module compares the actual and optimal positions of the reflector and outputs a control signal to the headlight leveling actuator.

OPERATION WHILE DRIVING

1. If the auto leveling control module detects that the vehicle is moving at a constant vehicle speed of 8 km/h for 4 s while the headlights are on, the average value of the vehicle attitude during the period is calculated and the optical axis is adjusted.
