Warning

•  Fuel line spills and leakage are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. When installing the fuel hose, observe “Fuel Hose Installation” described below.

Fuel Line Air Bleeding

Caution

•  Do not operate the starter motor for longer then 10 s at a time. After 10 s, turn the engine switch to the ON position and allow the starter motor to cool for 30 s before attempting to start the engine again.

1.  Disconnect the fuel return hose.

2.  Connect the SST.

3.  Operate the hand pump unit until it becomes firm when squeezed.

4.  Squeeze and hold the hand pump for 10.

5.  Release the hand pump.

6.  Squeeze and hold the hand pump for a further 10.

7.  Release the hand pump.

8.  Disconnect the SST.

9.  Connect the fuel return hose.

10.  Start the engine and allow it to idle until it reaches normal operating temperature.

11.  Turn the engine switch off.

Fuel Hose Installation

1.  Verify that there is no damage or deformation on the fuel hose and fuel pipe when installing.
