EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)]

Note

•  If the EGR valve is replaced, complete the “EGR VALVE ADAPTIVE VALUE RESET” and “EXHAUST GAS RELATED COMPONENT INITIALIZATIONT”

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

3.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the cowl grille. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the cowl panel. (See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

7.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

2	EGR valve connector
3	EGR valve

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
