CRUISE CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION [ZJ, ZY]

1.  Turn the ignition switch off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3.  Remove the driver‐side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the clock spring connector (cruise control switch-side).

5.  Inspect for resistance and continuity between clock spring connector (cruise control switch-side) terminals B—D using a tester.

•  If not as specified, replace the cruise control switch. (See AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
