•  The reduction gear consists of the worm wheel located on the steering column main shaft and the worm shaft connected to the Electric Power Steering (EPS) motor, and is integrated with the steering column.

•  The assist torque generated by the EPS motor is transmitted to the worm wheel via the worm shaft drives the steering column main shaft.

•  The assist torque from the EPS motor is amplified by the reduction ratio (20.5:1) between the worm shaft and worm wheel, and is transmitted to the steering column main shaft.
