Detection Condition

•  Request switch (LF) ON signal detected while driving

Possible Causes

•  Short to wiring harness between outer handle (LF) and keyless control module
•  Request switch (LF) malfunction
•  Keyless control module malfunction

INSPECT OUTER HANDLE (LF) CONNECTOR
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the outer handle (LF) connector.
•  Inspect the outer handle (LF) connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the outer handle (LF) connector or terminal.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR
•  Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
•  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN OUTER HANDLE (LF) AND KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE
•  Inspect the wiring harness between the outer handle (LF) connector terminal A and keyless control module connector terminal 3X for the following:
―  Short to body ground
•  Is the wiring harness normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the outer handle (LF) and keyless control module.

INSPECT REQUEST SWITCH (LF)
•  Inspect the request switch (LF).
•  Is the request switch (LF) normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the request switch (LF).

VERIFY DTCs
•  Reconnect the disconnected connectors.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Verify DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTC B10D1:23 displayed?
Yes
Replace the keyless control module.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
