Detection Condition

•  Keyless control module power supply voltage is other than 9—16 V

Possible Causes

•  P/W 20 A fuse malfunction
•  Open or short circuit in wiring harness between battery and keyless control module
•  Battery malfunction
•  Keyless control module malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

FUSE INSPECTION
•  Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Remove the P/W 20 A fuse.
•  Is the fuse normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the fuse.

BATTERY INSPECTION
•  Measure the battery positive voltage.
•  Is the voltage between 9—16 V?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Higher than specification
•  Replace or inspection the battery.
•  Go to Step 5.
Lower than specification
•  Replace or charge the battery.
•  Go to Step 5.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE CONNECTOR
•  Disconnect the keyless control module connector.
•  Inspect the keyless control module connector. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
•  Are the connector and terminals normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair/replace the keyless control module connector or terminal.

INSPECT WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN BATTERY AND KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE
•  Inspect the wiring harnesses between the battery and keyless control module connector terminal 1D for the following:
―  Short to ground
―  Short to power supply
―  Open circuit
•  Is the wiring harness normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness between the battery and keyless control module.

VERIFY DTCs
•  Reconnect the disconnected connectors.
•  Connect the negative battery cable.
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Verify DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTCs displayed?
―  P1794:16
―  P1794:17
Yes
Replace the keyless control module.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
