POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  No keys have been programmed after replacing keyless control module.
•  Unprogrammed key used
•  Attempt made to program ninth key
•  Keyless control module malfunction

VERIFY NUMBER OF PROGRAMMED KEYS
•  Using the M-MDS, perform the PID/data monitor inspection and verify the programmed keys.
•  Are one or more keys programmed?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 3.

VERIFY NUMBER OF PROGRAMMED KEYS
•  Using the M-MDS, perform the PID/data monitor inspection and verify the programmed keys.
•  Are eight keys programmed?
Yes
Erase the key ID number, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT KEYLESS CONTROL MODULE
•  Program the key ID number.
Note
•  Two or more keys need to be programmed to start the engine.
•  Using the programmed key, turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
•  Are DTCs output again?
―  Keyless control module: B10D7:51
―  PCM:P1260:00
Yes
•  Replace the keyless control module and program the immobilizer system-related parts.
•  Go to the next step.
No
Go to Step 5.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR
•  Are DTCs output again?
―  Keyless control module: B10D7:51
―  PCM:P1260:00
Yes
Inspect DTC P1260:00. (See DTC P1260:00 [ZJ, ZY].)
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE PRESENT
•  Verify if other DTCs are displayed.
•  Are any other DTCs output?
Yes
Perform the corresponding DTC inspection.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
