Repair Procedure

1.  Inspect the connector connection of the malfunctioning module.

•  If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the connector.

2.  Inspect the malfunctioning wiring harness for the following.

•  If there is any malfunction, replace the wiring harness.
•  If the wiring harness is normal, replace the malfunctioning module.
―  Short to ground
―  Short to power supply
―  Open circuit
―  Short between twisted pair wiring harness

3.  Reconnect the disconnected connectors.

4.  Clear the CAN system related DTCs using the M-MDS.

5.  Verify if the CAN system related DTCs are output using the M-MDS.

•  If the unit which output the following DTCs outputs the same DTCs, replace the unit.
―  U0001:88 (ABS HU/CM (with ABS), BCM, keyless control module, SAS control module, EPS control module, instrument cluster)
―  U0073:00 (PCM)
•  If other CAN system related DTCs are output, perform the corresponding DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM].)
