Repair Procedure
1. Inspect the connector connection of the malfunctioning module.
-
• If there is any malfunction, repair or replace the connector.
2. Inspect the malfunctioning wiring harness for the following.
-
• If there is any malfunction, replace the wiring harness.
• If the wiring harness is normal, replace the malfunctioning module.
-
― Short to ground
― Short to power supply
― Open circuit
― Short between twisted pair wiring harness
3. Reconnect the disconnected connectors.
4. Clear the CAN system related DTCs using the M-MDS.
5. Verify if the CAN system related DTCs are output using the M-MDS.
-
• If the unit which output the following DTCs outputs the same DTCs, replace the unit.
-
― U0001:88 (ABS HU/CM (with ABS), BCM, keyless control module, SAS control module, EPS control module, instrument cluster)
― U0073:00 (PCM)
