AUDIO CONTROL SWITCH INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more.

2.  Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the clock spring connector (cruise control switch-side).

4.   Inspect for resistance and continuity between clock spring connector (cruise control switch-side) terminals K—M/I using a tester.

•  If not within the specification, replace the audio control switch.

5.  Apply battery positive voltage to audio control switch terminal G, and connect terminal E to ground.

6.  Verify that the LED illuminates.

•  If the LED does not illuminate, replace the audio control switch.
