Purpose
• A bumper stiffener lower has been adopted to reduce injury to a pedestrian's legs caused by the pedestrian's legs going under the vehicle in a collision.
Function
• The bumper stiffener lower prevents the pedestrian from going under the vehicle in a collision by lifting the pedestrian's legs toward the vehicle front side so that the pedestrian falls on the bonnet.

• The bumper stiffener lower has optimal rigidity so that the deformation amount in a collision is small. Compared to the small deformation amount of the bumper stiffener lower, the deformation amount of the vehicle upper part such as the front bumper and bonnet is large so that the pedestrian falls on the bonnet in a collision.
• The bumper stiffener lower is located under the front bumper so that the wind-flow while the vehicle is moving flows to the condenser and radiator.
