Installation Procedure

1.  When installing new parts, measure and adjust the body as necessary to conform with standard dimensions.

2.  Drill holes for the plug welding before installing the new parts.

3.  After temporarily installing new parts, make sure the related parts fit properly.

4.  Drill the 13 spot welded locations in area (A) of the new part shown in the figure and remove the side sill reinforcement (rear) and side sill gusset.

Note

•  Be careful not to damage the side sill reinforcement (rear) during installation as it will be reused.

5.  Install the side sill reinforcement while rotating it.

6.  Plug weld the 33 locations indicated by (B) shown in the figure.

7.  Plug weld the 8 locations indicated by (C) shown in the figure, then install the side sill reinforcement (rear).

8.  Cut and join 3 locations indicated by (D) shown in the figure.

9.  Plug weld the 113 locations indicated by (E) shown in the figure, then install the side frame (outer) (side sill (outer)).
