Removal Procedure

Caution

•  Remove the curtain air bag module to prevent damage before servicing.

•  Avoid cutting with a blowtorch or similar tools as the insulator is flammable shown in the figure.

1.  Rough cut the 2 locations indicated by (A) shown in the figure.

2.  Drill the 90 locations indicated by (B) shown in the figure, then remove the side frame (outer) (front pillar (outer)).

3.  Drill the 19 locations indicated by (C) shown in the figure.

4.  Drill the 5 locations indicated by (D) from the room side shown in the figure, then remove the front pillar reinforcement (lower) and hinge reinforcement as a single unit.

5.  Rough cut the location indicated by (E) shown in the figure, then remove the front pillar reinforcement (upper).

6.  Drill the 18 locations indicated by (F) shown in the figure, then remove the front pillar reinforcement (upper).

7.  Drill the 25 locations indicated by (G) from room side shown in the figure, then remove the front pillar (inner).
