IDLE AIR CONTROL (IAC) [WITH WU-TWC]

id0140001010d2

Outline

• The function of the IAC is essentially carried over from that of the previous Mazda2 (DY) without WU-TWC models except for the following:
- Fuel economy has been improved due to the lowerd target idle speed and reduction of fuel consumption during idling.
- To lower the target idle speed, a steering angle sensor has been adopted, and the target idle speed is set according to the steering angle (0 °-60 °-180 °-) and the P/S load.

*1 :
The steering angle will be cleared if the ignition switch is turned off. The sensor detects the steering angle after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position and the vehicle is driven straight at a vehicle speed of 20 km/h {12 mph} or more.
