Outline

• The function of the A/C cut-off control is essentially carried over from that of the previous Mazda 121 121DEMIO (DW) models except for the following:

Switches on and off every 10 s until engine coolant temperature is less than approx. 107°C {224°F}.
Improve engine reliability
Engine coolant temperature approx. 117°C {243°F}
Until the engine coolant temperature drops to less than approx. 110°C {230°F}
Improve engine reliability
High engine speed
(engine speed 5,710 rpm or more)
Until engine speed drops to 5,210 rpm or less
Improve reliability of A/C compressor
During P/S operation (idling)
Until P/S stops
Improve idling stability
PCM internal temperature higher than specified value

PCM protection
Evaporator temperature less than 4°C {39°F}*1
Until evaporator temperature rises to 4°C {39°F} or more
To prevent shut off of airflow through the evaporator passage by frozen water droplets
