Outline

• The function of the fuel pump control is essentially carried over from that of the previous Mazda 121 121DEMIO (DW) models except for the following:

• When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the PCM turns off the circuit-opening relay after it is on for 1 s.

• The PCM detects the NE signal trailing edge while the engine is cranked and turns on the circuit-opening relay.

• The PCM turns off the circuit-opening relay when the engine is stopped.
