*5  :The steering angle will be cleared if the ignition switch is turned off. The sensor detects the steering angle after the ignition switch is turned to the ON position and the vehicle is driven straight at a vehicle speed of 20 km/h {12 mph} or more. The SWA value will be cleared every time the ignition switch is turned off, so the initial value (300 °) is displayed until the steering angle is detected. If the SWA value does not change from 300 °, drive the vehicle under 20 km/h {12 mph} or less until the steering angle is detected, and then monitor the item again.

Caution
•  The PCM terminal voltages vary with change in measuring conditions and vehicle conditions. Always carry out a total inspection of the input systems, output systems, and PCM to determine the cause of trouble. Otherwise, a wrong diagnosis will be made.
