Improved Serviceability

• A controller area network (CAN) system has been adopted for communication between the PCM, ABS HU/CM and instrument cluster.

• The inner construction of the door have been integrated into a single door unit.

• The keyless unit and the door lock timer unit have been integrated.

• The power window system initial setting procedure has been simplified.

• An instrument cluster with a built-in microcomputer has been adopted.

• A display function of past malfunction has been added to the air bag system on-board diagnostic.

• Diagnostic function has been adopted in the audio system.

• Headlight with built-in front turn and parking light has been adopted.

• Aim-adjustable front fog lights have been adopted.

• A 2-DIN size audio unit has been adopted. It provides various, extendable combinations (CD player/CD changer/cassette deck/MD player).

• The current immobilizer unit function has been incorporated into the PCM as the passive anti-theft system (PATS).
