DTC P0720:00 |
VSS circuit malfunction |
---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The PCM detects no signal from the VSS when the following conditions are met.
Diagnostic support note:
• This is a continuous monitor (CCM).
• The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
• The HOLD indicator light flashes.
• PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
• The DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• VSS malfunction
• Connector or terminal malfunction
• Open circuit in wiring harness between VSS terminal A and main relay
• Short to GND in wiring harness between VSS terminal A and main relay
• Open circuit in wiring harness between VSS terminal B and PCM terminal 1AX
• Short to power supply in wiring harness between VSS terminal B and PCM terminal 1AX
• Short to GND in wiring harness between VSS terminal B and PCM terminal 1AX
• Open circuit in wiring harness between VSS terminal C and body GND
• PCM malfunction
