ULTRASONIC SENSOR REMOVAL

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the splash shield. (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the rear combination light. (See REAR COMBINATION LIGHT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the rear bumper. (See REAR BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  While pulling the bracket in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull the ultrasonic sensor in the direction of arrow (2) to remove the ultrasonic sensor from the bracket.

6.  Peel off the double-sided adhesive tape between the bracket and rear bumper using a utility knife.

Warning

•  Always wear gloves when using a utility knife. Using a utility knife with bare hands can cause injury.

7.  Remove the brackets from the rear bumper.
